예선에 대한 전반적인 안내입니다. 모든 참가자들은 반드시 아래 내용을 숙지하시기 바랍니다. 아래의 내용은 상황에 따라 수정될 수 있습니다.
1. 일정
- 예비소집: 10월 16일 (금) 18:00-19:00 (1시간)
- 예선: 10월 17일 (토) 14:00-17:00 (3시간)
2. 예비소집
- 인터넷 예선과 동일한 환경에서 Domjudge를 이용하여 온라인으로 진행되며, 답안 제출과 채점 결과 확인에 문제가 없는지를 확인하는 것을 목적으로 합니다.
- 약 2-3문제가 주어지며 1시간 동안 진행됩니다. 인터넷 예선 때 사용할 컴퓨터 및 동일한 환경을 사용하는 것을 권장합니다.
- 모든 팀은 예비소집에 참가하여야 합니다. 예비소집은 팀원 3명 모두가 참여할 필요는 없지만, 반드시 팀원 중 한 명 이상이 대회시간 중에 접속하여 참가를 증명해야 합니다. 문제를 해결하지 못한 경우에도, 예비소집이 끝나기 전에 작성 중인 소스 코드를 최소 1회 제출하여, 본부 측이 예비소집 참가를 확인할 수 있도록 합니다.
- 부득이한 사유로 팀원 중 한명도 예비 소집에 참가할 수 없는 팀들은 대회 본부에 미리 통보하기 바랍니다. 통보하지 않고 불참(아무런 제출이 없는 경우)할 경우 본선대회 팀 선발시 학교 단위로 페널티가 부여될 수 있습니다.
- 특별한 사정이 없는 한 예비소집의 참여를 권장합니다. 예비소집을 통해 해당 경시환경에 익숙해지는 시간을 갖기 바랍니다. 예비소집 종료 후, 부득이 참여하지 못 한 학생들을 위해 연습 세션 환경(TBA)에 해당 문제가 업로드 될 예정입니다.
3. 대회 진행
- 예선 대회는 온라인으로 진행됩니다.
- 예선 감독은 다음 두 가지 방법 중 하나로 진행해야 합니다:
- (i) 감독관(코치 혹은 코치의 위임을 받은 교수/조교)의 감독 하에 특정 장소에 모여 대회를 치르거나
- (ii) 감독관(코치 혹은 코치의 위임을 받은 교수/조교)의 감독 하에 온라인으로 대회를 치뤄야 합니다.
코치 교수님이 진행방식에 대한 내용을 아래 구글 폼을 통해 10월 14일(수)까지 알려주셔야 합니다. 팀원인 학생이 연락한 경우는 인정하지 않습니다.

4. 대회 진행 시 유의사항
- 각 팀은 반드시 1대의 컴퓨터와 1대의 모니터를 사용하여야 합니다. 2대 이상의 컴퓨터(모바일 포함)를 사용하는 것은 부정행위이며, 접속 IP 검사, 중복 로그인 검사 등을 통해 부정행위가 적발되는 경우에는 실격되며 일정 기간 동안 대회 참가가 제한될 수 있습니다.
- 문제나 소스 코드를 프린터로 인쇄할 수 있습니다.
- 대회가 종료된 후, 소스 코드 표절 검사가 진행됩니다. 표절이 발견된 경우 관련 팀들은 실격 및 일정 기간 동안 대회 참가가 제한되며, 해당 대학은 이후 선발의 불이익을 받습니다.
- 대회 중에는 프로그래밍 언어별 공식 Reference Site와 대회 사이트를 제외한 웹사이트 및 인터넷 사용은 일체 허용되지 않습니다. 공식 Reference Site는 아래의 링크로 정의합니다.
- 사용할 컴퓨터에 미리 프로그램 작성에 사용할 수 있는 함수, 라이브러리, 예제 코드를 저장해서는 안 됩니다.
- ICPC Seoul Regional (본선) 대회와 마찬가지로, A4 단면 25장 이하의 인쇄된 형태의 팀노트는 참고할 수 있습니다. 그 외의 인쇄물, 책 등을 참고하는 것은 금합니다. 예선 대회에 사용되는 팀노트는 별도의 검사를 하지 않습니다.
- 인쇄 등에 필요한 경우를 제하고는 USB 등 이동 가능한 저장 매체를 사용할 수 없습니다.
- 자동으로 소스코드를 생성해주는 프로그래밍 도구(lex, yacc 등), 생성형 AI 도구(ChatGPT/Codex, Claude/Claude Code, …)를 사용할 수 없습니다. 해당 기능을 제공하는 환경이라면 모두 비활성화해야 합니다. 생성형 AI 도구 사용 적발시 실격 및 일정기간 ICPC 참가가 제한됩니다.
- 대회 중에는 본인 팀 구성원 및 코치/감독관을 제외한 누구와도 대화해서는 안됩니다. 특히 다른 팀의 구성원과 문제에 대해 어떤 형태로든 커뮤니케이션하는 경우 부정행위로 간주되어 실격되며 일정 기간 동안 대회 참가가 제한될 수 있습니다.
5. 답안 제출 및 채점, 프로그래밍 환경
- 문제 배포: 문제는 Domjudge 및 필요시 감독관을 통해 배포합니다.
- 대회 시스템: 참가자들은 Domjudge 시스템을 사용하여 온라인으로 답안을 제출하게 됩니다.
- 진행 시간: 3시간 (오후 2시-5시)
- 사용 가능 프로그래밍 언어: Java 21, C11, C++20, Python 3.9, Kotlin 1.9
- 구체적인 환경은 차후 공지 예정입니다.
- 채점
- 각 문제는 동일한 사양의 여러 컴퓨터중 하나에서 여러 testcase를 사용하여 채점되며, 채점 결과는 Domjudge를 통하여 전달됩니다.
- 채점 결과에 대한 예시
- No – Compiler-Error: 정상적으로 컴파일되지 않았음
- No – Run-Error: 컴파일되고 실행되었으나, 실행도중에 비정상적으로 종료됨
- No – Time-limit Exceeded: 특정 테스트 케이스에 대해 주어진 제한시간 안에 정상적으로 종료되지 않음
- No – No Output: 실행 중 어떤 값도 출력하지 않았음
- No – Too-Late: 대회가 끝나고 제출을 하였음
- No – Wrong Answer: 컴파일되고 실행되어 특정 테스트 케이스에 대해 제한시간 안에 종료되었으나, 옳은 답을 출력하지 않았음
- Correct: 정답
- 채점 결과에 따른 점수 및 순위에 대한 규칙은 ICPC Regional 공식 규칙(link)의 Scoring of a Regional Contest 부분을 참고하시기 바랍니다.
- 프로그램 작성 시 주의사항
- 프로그램은 단일 스레드만을 사용해야 하며, 표준 입출력(standard input/output)을 제외한 파일 I/O, 네트워킹 등의 system call은 사용할 수 없습니다.
- 프로그램은 다른 지시가 없는 한 정답을 표준 출력(standard output)에 출력해야 합니다. 그 후 프로세스는 정상적으로 종료되어야 합니다. 이는 return code가 0 이어야 함을 의미합니다. 이외의 exit code는 Runtime Error로 간주됩니다.
- 채점과 대회 진행을 고의적으로 방해하는 프로그램을 제출하는 경우에는 실격될 수 있습니다.
6. 본선 진출 안내
- 본선 진출은 (1) 학교의 다양성을 최대화 하며 (2) 우수한 학생이 참여할 수 있도록 아래와 같은 순서로 고려하여 선발합니다.
- 1. 순위표에서 미자격 팀을 모두 삭제
- 2. 대학 무관 상위 30팀을 선발
- 3. K개 문제 이상 해결한 소속 학교의 1위 팀을 선발.
- 단, 상수 K는 대회 종료 후 운영위원회에서 위 원칙에 따라 결정합니다.
- 4. 남은 팀에 대해, 선발되지 않은 상위 팀부터 선발
- 예선 대회 결과 및 본선 진출 팀 목록은 소정의 확인 절차를 거쳐 본 홈페이지에 공지됩니다.

This is the general guide for the First Round contest. All participants must thoroughly read and understand the information below. The information below are subject to change depending on circumstances.
1. Schedule
- Preliminary Call: Oct. 16th (Fri), 18:00-19:00 KST (1h)
- First Round (contest): Oct. 17th (Sat), 14:00-17:00 KST (3h)
2. Preliminary Call (예비소집)
- The Preliminary Call contest session will be held online using Domjudge in the same environment as First Round contest. Its purpose is to ensure that there are no issues with submitting answers and checking grading results.
- 2 to 3 problems will be given, and the session will last for 1 hour. We recommend using the same computer and environment that you plan to use next day for First Round contest.
- All teams must participate in Preliminary Call session. It is not required that all three team members participate, but at least one team member must log in during the session to prove participation. If your team cannot solve any of the problems in time, make sure to submit the source code you are working on at least once before Preliminary Call session ends so that the headquarters can verify your participation.
- Teams that cannot participate in Preliminary Call session due to circumstances must notify the contest headquarters in advance. If a team fails to notify and does not participate (i.e., makes no submissions), penalty regarding advancements to Regional Contest can be imposed at the institution level.
- We highly recommend you to participate in Preliminary Call, if possible, to get familiar with the contest environment. After the preliminary call, the problems will be made available in the practice environment (TBA) for students who were unable to participate.
3. First Round (예선) Contest Operation and Proctoring
- First Round contest will be conducted online.
- The contest must be proctored as either of the following:
- (i) Under the supervision of a proctor (coach or a professor/teaching assistant delegated by the coach), teams gather at a specific location and take the contest offline; or,
- (ii) Under the supervision of a proctor (coach or a professor/teaching assistant delegated by the coach), take the contest online.
Team coaches MUST notify the Committee on which way they plan to conduct the contest until October 14th (Wed.), using the following Google Forms link. Students shall not make this contact.

If university-specific results are required, please contact acmicpc@icpckorea.org after First Round contest concludes.
4. Rules and Precautions
- Each team must use exactly one PC and exactly one monitor. Using two or more devices, including mobile devices, is considered cheating. If evidences of cheating are to be found through IP checks, concurrent login checks, etc., the team can be subject to disqualification and ban from participating for multiple years.
- You may print your source code and problem statements.
- After the contest ends, we will conduct a plagiarism check. If evidences of plagiarism are to be found, relevant teams are all subject to disqualification and ban from participating for multiple years, and the institution will be subject to penalty in advancements.
- You MAY NOT browse websites other than the contest site and official references for programming languages. Official references are the followings:
- You MAY NOT prepare any code, function, library, or examples for use on your PC before the contest.
- You may refer to your team notes — 25 pages or less, single-page printed material in A4, as allowed in ICPC Seoul Regional. You may not consult other printed materials, books, etc. For First Round contest, we do not require team notes to be checked.
- You may not use USB drives or other removable storage media during contest except when necessary for printing, etc.
- You may not use code generation tools (e.g. lex, yacc), nor generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT/Codex, Claude/Claude Code, …). You must disable such features if your programming environment provides any. Failure to obey this rule can be subject to disqualification and ban from participating for multiple years.
- You may not communicate with anyone other than your teammates or your coach during contest. In particular, communicating with members of other teams about the problems in any form will be considered cheating, and result in disqualification and ban.
5. Submitting Solutions & Programming Environments
- Problem Distribution: Problems will be distributed on Domjudge, and possibly by proctors.
- Contest System: you will submit your solution online on Domjudge.
- Contest Time: 3 hours (14:00-17:00)
- Available Programming Languages: Java 21, C11, C++20, Python 3.9, Kotlin 1.9
- Detailed versions and compilation environments will be announced later.
- Judging
- Each problem will be judged using multiple test cases on one of several computers with identical specifications, and the verdicts will be delivered through Domjudge.
- Verdict examples
- No – Compiler-Error: Did not compile.
- No – Run-Error: Compiled and ran, but exited abnormally.
- No – Time-limit Exceeded: Did not exit in time limit for a test case.
- No – No Output: Did not output anything to standard output.
- No – Too-Late: Submitted after the contest ended.
- No – Wrong Answer: Compiled, ran, and exited normally after output something to standard output, which was incorrect.
- Correct: Correct.
- For further information regarding scoring and decision of standings, please refer the “Scoring of a Regional Contest” section of the official ICPC Regional Rules (link).
- Programming Precautions
- Your program MUST use single thread and standard I/O only. System calls other than standard I/O, e.g. networking, file I/O, are forbidden.
- Your program should print the answer on standard output, unless noted otherwise. Then, your program must exit normally, i.e. must exit with an exit code 0. Exit codes other than 0 are considered as an runtime error.
- Any attempts to disturb the judging system are considered cheating and will lead to disqualification.
6. Advancing to Seoul Regional Contest
- This Committee will invite teams to Seoul Regional Contest in the following steps in order, with the aim of (1) maximizing the diversity of participating school, and (2) allowing students with outstanding performance to participate.
- 1. All ineligible teams are eliminated from the standings.
- 2. The top 30 teams advance to Seoul Regional.
- 3. Among the remaining teams, the teams that ranked the highest from their institution and have solved K or more problems advance.
- NOTE: The constant K will be decided after the contest, based on above terms.
- 4. Among the remaining teams, as many teams as possible are chosen from top.
- Contest results and the list of advancing teams will be announced here after due verification are made.
